Laminating Epoxy

SR 1500
  • Modified epoxy resin formulated to be crystallization free and low toxicity
  • Developed for ship building, aeronautics, automotive prototypes and tool making
  • Excellent wet-out, deglazing properties and adhesion to all type of reinforcements including glass, aramid, carbon and polyester

SR 1660

Clear Systems

Sicomin is a leading global formulator and supplier of technically superior, high strength epoxy resins and advanced composite materials.
Sicomin’s range of new generation, lightweight, clear resin systems are designed for the manufacture of laminates that require the clear finish and protection of traditional varnishes, without the weight.
They are suited to all materials including Carbon, Glass and Aramid and are compatible with all polystyrene, polyurethane, cross- linked and linear PVC foams.

Sicomin’s clear coating range provides a high mechanical performance with superior UV stability. A brilliant clear, yet tough, finish is achieved that not only enhances the look but also protects the required surface from moisture.
Fast hardening and self leveling coatings are available and can be applied with brush or spray.
Ideally suited to clear carbon, wooden and composite components.

Glass One

  • Suitable for hand layup of glass, carbon, aramid and polyester fibers.

Green Systems

Greenpoxy 56
  • New generation, environmentally enhanced, clear and waterproof system with over 50% of products molecular structure derived from plant and vegetable matter.
  • Achieves tough and hard wearing gloss laminates.
  • Suitable for laminating, injection molding, filament winding, press processes and casting.

Wood Systems

SR 5550
  • Especially formulated for building marine composites and used extensively for bonding, lamination and wood protection
  • Excellent adhesion to all type of woods

SR 8450
  • Ideal for building marine composites and used for bonding, lamination and wood protection
  • Specially formulated to perform in tropical climates

Infusion / Injection / Closed Mold Systems

SR 8100
  • A two component epoxy system formulated for resin transfer processes such as injection or infusion
  • Particularly cost effective for Infusion production methods
  • Very low viscosity at ambient temperature cure
  • Compatibility with different hardeners allow the molding of small to large parts with rapid remolding time

SR 1710 Injection
  • Very high performance structural epoxy system for Resin Transfer Molding processes such as Infusion and Injection
  • Two component epoxy system
  • Very low viscosity and a low reactivity hardener for large part manufacturing
  • SR 1710 Inj. has very high mechanical properties, especially inter laminate shear strength

SR 1720
  • Infusion epoxy system with low viscosity and very high temperature resistance of 200°C
  • SR 1720 and SD 7840 form a two component epoxy system that can be processed at an average temperature of 30-35 °C
  • Allows composite parts to endure extreme heat and perform at temperatures up to  200°C

Fire Retardant Systems

SR 1126
  • The new generation of self-extinguishing products with intumescent properties

SR 1124
  • Low viscosity, fire retardant epoxy resin.

SR 1500i
  • Self-Extinguishing laminating system
  • M1 Approval and classification
  • Ambient temperature curing
  • Has passed the Institut Français Textile - Habillement (IFTH) requirements

SR 1138
  • Halogen free, Fire retardant epoxy resin
  • Meets the stringent fire protection standards specified in DIN EN 45545 HL3, DIN 5510 and FAR 25

SR 1124
  • Low viscosity, fire retardant epoxy resin.

  • Low smoke opacity and toxicity.

Pre-Preg Systems

SiPreg SR 8500 / KTA 31x
  • A two component prepreg epoxy system
  • Free from solvents and reactive diluents
  • An excellent base for compound formulation
  • Demonstrates high mechanical performances

Foaming Systems

PB 170, PB 250, PB 400 & PB 600 / DM 0x
  • Closed cell foam production epoxy systems from 170 to 600 kg / m3.
  • The PB 170 / DM 0x, PB 250 / DM 0x, PB 400 / DM 0x & PB 600 / DM 0x systems are two part epoxy formulations which produce closed cell low density foams
  • The densities obtained are respectively about 170, 250, 400 and 600 kg / m3 (open mold expansion)
  • The resulting foam is white but can be colored with epoxy compatible pigments
  • The hardener modifies the curing time and reachable thickness
  • The mix evolves in two steps: rapid expansion and a slow hardening of the foam

PB 250 / SD 560.
  • Resilient ambient curing epoxy foam
  • Two part epoxy formulation which produces closed cell low density foam
  • The density obtained is approximately 275 kg / m3 (open mold expansion)
  • The resulting foam is white but can be colored with compatible epoxy pigments
  • The hardener modifies the curing time and attainable thickness
  • The mix evolves in two step; rapid expansion and a slow hardening of the foam
  • Simple 1 to 1 volume ratio
  • Produces resilient foams with better flexural elongation without requiring any post curing cycles.

PB 270 i, PB 370 i & PB 570 i
  • Self-extinguishing 2 component epoxy foaming system
  • Two part epoxy formulation which produces fireproof closed cell low density foams
  • The densities obtained are respectively about 270 and 370 (open mould expansion)
  • The resulting foam is white but can be colored with epoxy compatible pigments
  • The hardener modifies the curing time and reachable thickness
  • The mix evolves in two steps:  rapid expansion and slow hardening of the foam

Flexible Systems

SR 8150
  • 80 to 110 % elongation prior to rupture
  • Shock resistance above 150 KJ / m2.

  • Clear flexible epoxy resin for easy forming

Bonding Systems

SR 3-10
  • Two part epoxy systems designed for fast bonding, positioning or tacking
  • Resin base system composed of SR 3-10 resin and SD x’ hardener
  • Simple 1:1 mix ratio
  • High latitude, non-critical mix ratio
  • Rapid hardening
  • Solvent free (100% high solid volume) without filler

Aerobond SR 7300
  • Recommended for structural bonding of composites, metals, stone and wood
  • Offers a high resistance to fatigue and shearing
  • Used successfully in the aerospace industry to bond aluminum honeycomb and in the fabrication of skis

Fuel Tank System

SR 8500 / SD 2705
  • An epoxy system designed for the manufacture of fuel tanks and diesel and kerosene containers

Wet Surface System / Boat Emergency Repair System

SR 632
  • Unfilled epoxy system with simple 2:1 mix ratio
  • Highly reactive system that can set and cure under water

Casting Systems and Syntactic Foam

SR 1690
  • Translucent colorless casting is achievable
